Ralphie in the beloved classic, A Christmas Story, is obsessed with a “Red Ryder” BB gun. Once he gets the Red Ryder he almost loses an eye because of it. Joshua, like Ralphie, in his obsession, almost loses an Ai. (pronounced “eye”) Sure this is a word play, but there are quite a few parallels. Just click the above video to watch for insight.
