2-22-09 Sermon JOSHUA 24

We, in the United States, live in the "Land of the Free," but are we really free? Many are deep in financial debt. Others are in dependent or codependent relationships. In the late 1970s, Bob Dylan had a religious conversion and sang, "Gonna have to serve somebody. It may be the Devil or it may be the Lord, but you're gonna have to serve somebody." Which begs the question, is there really such a thing as free will? Intrigued? Just click the above video to watch for insight. Afterward feel free to share your thoughts or questions on this blog. Casual golfers from time to time take a "Mulligan," if you will a "do over" shot. With God, we do not get do overs, but we get "try agains." That is, the past cannot be undone, but God always allows second chances. Second chances is exactly what God allows in Joshua 8. If you have ever needed a second chance on life, just click the above video to watch for insight. Afterward, feel free to share your thoughts and questions on this blog. 2-8-09 Sermon Joshua 7

Ralphie in the beloved classic, A Christmas Story, is obsessed with a “Red Ryder” BB gun. Once he gets the Red Ryder he almost loses an eye because of it. Joshua, like Ralphie, in his obsession, almost loses an Ai. (pronounced “eye”) Sure this is a word play, but there are quite a few parallels. Just click the above video to watch for insight. February 1 JOSHUA 6

Walls...they are everywhere. We need them for privacy, protection and a place of residence. Some walls are good. Other walls need to come down. In ancient Jericho, Joshua with God's help brought the walls down so that God's will could be done. How about you? Do you feels like the walls and foundation of your life feel like they are crumbling down? Have you constructed walls to God and others that should come down? Just click the above video to watch for insight. Afterward, feel free to share your thoughts and questions on this blog. God Bless and Give 'em Heaven!
